QUEENSTOWN, NEW ZEALAND
“My partner and I thought for a long time about where we wanted to take our next holiday. As soon as we came across Azur Lodge, we were immediately sold, and soon embarked on the holiday of a lifetime. As soon as we were picked up at the airport, we quickly experienced the hospitality of the staff as our driver showed us around Queenstown and made sure we knew exactly what to do and see. Shortly after, we arrived to our room and were blown away at the demanding views.
I never wanted to leave the room because the views were that stunning, and the positioning of the villas provides complete privacy. We are typically the type of couple who want to do and see as much as possible, but it was hard to force ourselves to leave the property at all. Other than the views, which I could go on and on about, what sets Azur apart from many other 5 star properties is the staff. At canapes and drinks in the evening, they’ll ask to help make a dinner booking. At breakfast, they’ll inquire about any tours you’d like booked for the day. This proactivity is rarely found anywhere else these days, and it did not go unnoticed. We also had afternoon tea and cakes delivered to our room, which wasn’t great for our waistlines, but they were so delicious it was hard to resist.”

Outstanding service in a pristine setting. The staff will even go into town, pick up the food of your choice, and serve it in your lodge. Enough cannot be said about the service!
Although we went as a couple, the resort is perfect for families of all age as well.
It sounds so simple, but throwing on our dressing gowns and chilling in front of the fire after a long day of hitting the slopes as we were served our dinner in the villa was one of the best, most relaxing moments we’ve had in quite some time!
Best time to go
We went during ski season, which typically runs from early June until mid-October, but would love to come back during the warmer months as well.
This is a small resort with only 7 villas, so book far in advance.
Rooms start at $1,000 per night.
