“We had a very pleasant stay at The Baglioni and enjoyed being across from Hyde Park. Every member of staff was friendly and so willing to help in anyway possible. Coming downstairs each morning felt like leaving a personal home, where everybody knew our name and greeted us with a familiar smile. Breakfast was wonderful – loved enjoying my eggs and coffee with the paper. The hotel definitely had an Italian vibe, from the music to the menu, I particularly liked the selection of complimentary Italian waters that were left in our room every evening – mini bottles of Acqua Panna and Pelligrino. Like a little corner of Italy across from Kensington Gardens.”

A business stay – convenient location, good place to meet with clients or associates.
Solo or with a partner.
Monday morning we were craving a museum visit and discussing on our way through the lobby whether or not any would be open. The concierge (Phil) overheard our dilemma, and suggested a fabulous (and open) alternative: The Wallace Collection. He then personally walked us out the door, called for the hotel car, and equipped us with umbrellas and bottles of water for the day. It was the kind of warmness, hospitality, and attention to detail that you expect at a smaller, boutique hotel. Superb.
Best time to go
The hotel has a pretty outdoor seating area so spring and early summer would be the best time to take full advantage.
I found the décor in the rooms quite dark – all deep, royal colors. I prefer lighter, brighter rooms – if you do too, make sure to request a room with a view and good light. Will help brighten up the interiors.
