Bandon Dunes Golf Resort
“Bandon Dunes is likely at the top of just about every golfer’s bucket list, and there is a good reason for that. We were six guys on a golf trip, and from the moment we landed in North Bend, our experience was nothing short of excellent. We were picked up at the airport and driven half an hour to the resort, situated on a remote stretch of the stunning Oregon coast. We stayed in the quiet and peaceful Grove cottages, with an awesome view of the lake.
The first night we had dinner at Bandon Trails, then had drinks outside by the fire. The food was great, but the highlight was the fried banana split. We might have gone back a couple more times just for that. However, the purpose of the trip was golf. We went with high expectations and we weren’t disappointed. To have five truly world class and distinctly different courses on one site is remarkable. We played each one, and topped the evenings off with massages in the spa. The caddies also deserve a special mention. You won’t find a group more helpful or knowledgeable. A golf trip as it is meant to be!”

A group trip where golf is king. For golf aficionados, this is heaven on the west coast and a must see.
Go with a group of golf lovers. There’s not much else to do if aren’t interested in playing.
The wind made it a little difficult to play at times, but the scenery and atmosphere truly made it feel as if we could have easily been playing at St. Andrews. It was so nice to have all the guys together in the perfect atmosphere, on the perfect courses.
Best time to go
Summer is certainly the best time to go, but make sure you book in advance as everyone else seems to agree.
There aren’t any electric carts, so be prepared to walk.
There’s a multitude of different rooming options, with standard rooms starting around $200 per night, depending on time of year.
