Castell Son Claret
“We went to Castell Son Claret for a friend’s 40th birthday celebration. There were 10 of us in total, and to this day I’ve still never heard a negative word about this place escape anyone’s mouth. Even as we arrived, driving up the palm-lined driveway was a pleasure. The hotel is set on stunning grounds and we all wanted to immediately get out and walk around. As soon as we walked in we were given a welcome drink of fresh lemonade that we enjoyed on the terrace. This set the tone for the entire trip.
It is so apparent that a lot of consideration and expense has been put into this hotel to achieve a luxurious yet understated style. Everything is just so tranquil. We frequented the spa more than once and had the best treatments that any of us had ever had. The food was just as amazing at the hotel’s two restaurants, one of which has two Michelin Stars. When the weather was nice (which is nearly always), we took our diner out on the lovely terrace… it was heaven. Being from a busy city, we all needed to unwind, de-stress, and celebrate friendship, and this was the perfect place to do it.”

A fabulous country retreat situated in the middle of lovely gardens with a superb pool, spa and food.
We were a bit surprised to find young children at this hotel. I would recommend an adults-only trip.
The location of the hotel is great for sightseeing, and isn’t far from Palma. We rented a car and cruised around the island laughing, talking and taking in all the sights. It was one of the best girls’ trips I’ve ever had.
Best time to go
We went in the spring and the blooms around the property would absolutely beautiful!
If you’re wanting to venture away from the hotel for dinner (although I don’t see the need), then a car will be essential.
Rooms start at $700 per night, depending on rates and availability.
