BEL AIR/ BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA
“My first time back since its two-year and $100 million renovation, I was happy to find the iconic hotel continues to host a sanctuary of calm and serenity within the city of Los Angeles. Spanish-style architecture, cascading bougainvillea, flourishing mature gardens, faultless service, delicious food, fabulous guestrooms, luxurious spa treatments, refined ambience, and the same classic charm it’s always had. An unbelievable place with a reputation it warrants. We had an absolutely delightful stay, I shall return. And soon! This famous gem of a resort within a city is now one of my very favorite places to stay … anywhere in the world”

A tryst, a quiet business stay, an upscale celebration…
Go with a lover or friend. It’s a little posh for the whole family - but if you decide to bring the kids, there are some children’s amenities to take advantage of. Traveling with a pet? The hotel will happily accommodate your pup - right in the lap of luxury.
A drink that turned to dinner on the terrace of the bar – with a full moon in a dark, clear sky; it was out of a dream!
Best Time to Go
The great thing about LA – anytime! Expect near to perfect weather all year long.
After the renovation all accommodations were equipped with state-of-the-art technology controlled by a personal in-room iPad (I thought it was pretty cool!). But for those who don’t keep up with Apple products, it might take some getting used to…
Good to Note
Want to visit Beverly Hills for a light lunch or shopping spree? Easy. The Bel-Air offers complimentary transportation within a three-mile radius of the property – you’ll enjoy traveling in style in one of the hotel’s Mercedes S350 BlueTECs.
With 58 guestrooms and 45 suites, including 7 specialty suites, the hotel offers a variety of accommodations throughout the 12-acre property. Tastefully decorated with a fresh take on French Deco and Hollywood Glamour, guestrooms and suites are beautiful, comfortable, and very well equipped. From the heated floors in the restrooms to the Bang & Olufsen TVs, the La Prairie toiletries to the Italian linens – every room exudes a high level of luxury. Specialty suites include garden patios and fireplaces; some even have a private Jacuzzi.
Service & vibe
Service is wonderfully efficient, complemented by a caring and friendly staff. The vibe is tranquil and serene, exclusive and elegant.
With one of Los Angeles’s top chefs heading the restaurant, Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air is everything you can want in a dining experience: fresh California cuisine with European and Mediterranean influences; formal ambience with the perfect amount of comfort; both indoor seating and out; impeccable wine service; expert wait staff; potential for a celebrity sighting; the smell of jasmine and roses…

To Do & See
The hotel grounds are so spectacular you can easily spend your visit on the property away from the traffic and city sounds – take a walk through the lush gardens, go for a swim in the impressive pool, admire the swans swimming along the lake. If you’d rather explore LA, use the complimentary transportation service to visit nearby neighborhoods including Beverly Hills, Westwood, Brentwood and West Hollywood. For further excursions consult the concierge, who’ll be able to arrange a driver that can take you to Disney Hall, LACMA, the Getty or Venice Beach.
Sport & Activity
The hotel’s new fitness studio has everything you need to maintain a workout routine during your stay: Technologym cardio equipment and lifting machines, free weights and balls, yoga mats and balance blocks, and a separate area for stretching. Personally? Laps in their huge egg-shaped pool and a speed walk / jog in the residential neighborhood of Bel Air are much more pleasurable than an indoor gym.
Spa & Grooming
Also brand new, the Hotel Bel-Air Spa by La Prairie is the about as decadent as it gets in the art of pampering…Caviar Massage, Pure Gold Radiance Facial, Diamond Perfection Body Work, Platinum Rare Facial…just to name a few treatments off the menu. And if you have an event or just feel like looking glam, visit the Joseph Martin Hair & Beauty salon attached to the spa for all your styling needs.
There are an endless amount of restaurants in this city. But for the ultimate LA scene, I liked the new AOC Wine Bar. Nothing beats dinner next to a heat lamp, at the hotel’s Wolfgang Puck restaurant …
Montana Avenue, Rodeo Drive, Melrose Place, Robertson Boulevard…all certain to put a dent in your bank account, so proceed with caution!
Only about 25 minutes (with good traffic) from LAX, it’s an easy drive from the airport to the hotel.
