Hotel Particulier Montmartre
“I love to find new places to stay in Paris, but this gem hidden away in Montmartre has been a firm favourite since it opened in 2007. It’s a former 18th-century private residence and the architecture is beautiful. Inside, it is mix of modernist furnishings and antique objets, with stunning art dotted about. There are just five rooms, all well sized for Paris and each featuring the work of different artists. I have stayed in them all and room four is my favourite – decorated with colourful wallpaper by Martine Abballéa. Tucked away in Montmartre, this is a peaceful location, but the hotel boasts a starry clientele of fashion and art connoisseurs and the elegant dining room is a great place to spot them.”
