Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort

“My family and I just returned from a 10 day stay at the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort, and we now refer to it as ‘our happy place’. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed home by the staff, and after a few days of being there, that’s exactly what it felt like… home. The nanny service is one to be amazed. At first it feels odd handing your little ones off to a stranger, but everyone is so lovely and experienced that the kids had no problem at all.

Our three children (ages 9, 6 and 3) absolutely loved the Bula Club and made so many friends. They had breakfast with us then each morning, then left us to go play with their new friends. We had a hard time getting them to join us for dinner thereafter… my husband and I haven’t been alone together for that long in years! We were able to dive every day, and my husband enjoyed catching our lunch several times throughout the trip. The food at the resort was exceptional and the staff was great, always genuine in their approach. There is also a marine biologist on staff which was a great way to learn about the ocean. Our 9 year old was amazed! We’re usually ready to come home at the end of a vacation, but this time was different.”

Great for
A great family vacation where you can enjoy being with your children and also have plenty of alone time with your partner.

With whom
Take the whole family… there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Memorable moment
My husband and I adventured to the resort’s private island for a half day. Never have we experienced anything like it. We were left alone to explore the secluded paradise, all just a few hundred meters off shore. The resort chef then prepared a gourmet picnic lunch and presented us with a chilled bottle of champagne. Afterward, we kayaked back to the resort. It truly felt like our own little piece of paradise!

Best time to go
Any time of year! Fiji is beautiful no matter when you adventure there.

Be aware
The bures don’t have air conditioning which most can get used to, but something to be aware of given the oppressive humidity.

Standard rooms start at $900 depending on rates and availability.
