King David Hotel
“Not just a hotel, a historic icon! With a winning reputation and ever growing list of diplomatic and celebrity guests, the legendary King David really is the grand dame of Israeli luxury hotels. I stayed in a room on the 5th floor, which has been beautifully redecorated (along with the 6th) by renowned hospitality designer Adam Tihany. I fell in love with the bright, modern designs – a delightful contrast to the historical surroundings. Offering the most extensive gardens and pool in the area, this will always be my hotel of choice in Jerusalem.”

The ideal stay in Jerusalem – full of history, dripping in elegance and located within walking distance of the Old City.
Go for business or pleasure, solo or with the family – there’s a children’s pool and activity room for the kids. Talk to the concierge about setting up a Segway tour of the city, it’s great fun for everyone.
I’m still dreaming about the amazing breakfast buffet. I’ve never seen anything like it – tasty and fresh, with an enormous amount of choices. I woke up every morning looking forward to a glass of deliciously blended juice. Absolutely sensational!
Best time to go
Best weather is in the spring; the summer can get a little warm, but that’s what the pool is for.
The hotel has a past reputation for having a snobbish staff; it’s good to note that formality and respect shouldn’t be mistaken for snobbery.
