Ski vacations with the whole family. The ski valet and locker room make skiing simple, even for children and inexperienced skiers.
The rustic, cozy suite configurations of up to five bedrooms make Steins particularly well suited to hosting multigenerational family groups.
In the winter, keep your eyes out for Stein Eriksen himself, who is often spotted in the Mountain Lodge. A trophy case holding his gold and silver medals from the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo is displayed year-round.
Best time to go
For skiers, winter is obviously the time to make this trip! The season peaks during the holidays and the Sundance Film Festival, but those looking for a quieter trip should visit in early January, once the holiday crowd has left.
Children under twelve are not permitted in the spa, but there are plenty of activities to keep kids busy while their parents luxuriate!
Good to note
Breakfast is included with the room rate during the ski season for all guests.
With 68 suites and 112 guest rooms, each of Stein Eriksen’s 180 units is designed with both luxury and lodge-style comfort in mind. Case in point - Molton Brown bath products and sumptuous terrycloth robes are a perfect accompaniment to the oversized jetted bathtubs in each guest room (hot tubs available for an additional cost, when available). The property’s suites sleep up to 18 people (Luxury Suite) and are all impeccably decorated.
Service & vibe
The top-notch staff members are all very friendly and helpful, with all manner of 24-hour service. The welcoming vibe suits groups of all intentions, from family get-togethers to couples’ getaways.
With world-class dining for every course, guests can enjoy some of Park City’s best culinary offerings right on-site. The Troll Hallen Lounge is perfect for casual fare with a great view, while the acclaimed Glitretind restaurant is an exquisite dining experience, truly making Steins a standout. The restaurant staff are expertly trained to assist you in choosing the perfect wine to compliment your meal, with an extensive wine list, chosen by Stein’s in-house sommelier (wine tastings in the cellar may also be arranged!). Each dinner ends in extraordinary fashion as well, with dessert you will not soon forget; the house-made truffles are so good that you’ll surely want to purchase a souvenir box.
Price per night
Winter room rates range from $725 - $900 for deluxe guestrooms, and one-bedroom suites range from $1,550 - $1,750.
To Do & See

Sport & Activity
A paradise for skiers of all levels, Steins goes above and beyond to accommodate guests, allowing them to maximize their skiing experience while minimizing any hassles that take away from a fabulous day on the slopes. One of the most lauded programs at Steins, the Ski Valet service assists skiers with every aspect of their ski experience; from helping guests slide into their equipment to meeting them at the bottom of the slope with a hot beverage come day’s end, this highly personalized service ensures that each guest enjoys only the very best aspects of the fantastic sport for which Steins is known. Other winter activities include snowmobiling, snow tubing, snow shoeing, Nordic skiing, and hot air balloon rides. Guests visiting during the summer may take advantage of their gorgeous surroundings with activities including golfing, fly-fishing, biking, white water rafting, paddle boarding, and hiking on the scenic mountain trails.
Spa & Grooming
The ultimate in local luxury, Steins has the only Forbes Five-Star spa in all of Utah. As if the beautiful setting isn’t serene enough, the wide array of treatments and services will put you beyond bliss. There are hot and cold plunge pools, relaxation rooms with saunas, Vichy wet treatment rooms, and two couple’s treatment rooms with private showers, tubs, and a shared relaxation suite where you can curl up by the fireplace after enjoying your treatments, many of which are designed to rejuvenate you after a wilderness workout. The “Ski and Hiking Boot Relief” massage will relax your tired legs and feet with reflexology, while the “Great Salt Stone Therapy” massage harnesses the crystal energy of hand carved and polished pure salt stones from the Great Salt Lake. The salon and mani/pedi room will have you perfectly coiffed even after a long day on the slopes.
