Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Seven Seas Explorer

It doesn’t get any more super-luxe than Regent’s newest all-suite vessel, which will accommodate 750 passengers. With a crew-to-guest ratio of almost 1 to 1 and almost unheard of suite sizes ranging from 307 to 3,875 square feet, everyone aboard is guaranteed to be well taken care of. All suites have a balcony and many have a dedicated personal butler. The over-the-top Regent Suite even has its in-room spa with ocean views and free unlimited treatments!

Great for
A super-exclusive, elegant cruise in the Mediterranean. The ship is currently being built in Italy and will be ready for its maiden voyage in the summer of 2016.

With whom
A special someone or for a multi-generational trip. Family and high-end cruises often don’t go hand in hand but Regent gets it right. While the Seven Seas Explorer doesn’t offer children’s programming, the ship has several quad suite accommodations and also has four Master Suite accommodations that hold up to 6 guests allowing families to spread out. As expected from Regent Seven Seas, you know that the youngsters will be treated extra special by the crew.

Memorable moment
Since it won’t set sail until the end of June 2016, I cannot speak of any past memorable moments yet. However, I really look forward to trying the six different restaurants aboard, the Canyon Ranch-run spa and taking a few cooking lessons in the state-of-the-art Culinary Arts Kitchen.

Best time to go
The inaugural season will run from August to November 2016 with 10 different itineraries around the Mediterranean. Reservations have already begun, so hurry if you want to be one of the first to hop aboard.

Be aware
Since the Explorer hasn’t debuted yet, it remains to be seen how special it is going to be but Regent Seven Seas is known for its high-end ships and superior service so I’m confident that they will be able to deliver what they promise.

Prices vary and highly depend on the itinerary, accommodations and departure date. All fares include air travel and airport transfers, shore excursions, food & beverage, gratuities and WiFi.
