Bacara Resort

“Tucked between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains, this handsome/chic resort & spa really offers something for everyone whether it be sunbathing, golf, tennis, horsebackriding, spa pampering, hiking — the list goes on.”

Great for
Anyone that enjoys staying in a resort that provides a mix of sport, pampering and exploration — who does not require top-notch service nor room quality. In chillier months, request a room with a fireplace.

With whom
A partner or family (good place with kids and small dogs — plenty of space to run around)

Memorable moment
An early morning hike on the Ranch with its breathtaking views and organic garden.

Best time to go
October through May/June is best

Be aware
The property itself is HUGE — all feels a bit impersonal to me and some of the common areas not tastefully decorated. Even the 42,000-square foot spa and fitness facility feels soulless.
