The Chedi, Muscat

“We love the Chedi for its pools and the fantastic restaurants – our kids love the beach and it makes for a perfect escape from Dubai. Go for the stand alone villas as the standard rooms are a little small and don’t have much view or privacy. The one thing about the hotel, if you don’t wish to travel around Muscat there is enough entertainment right there at the hotel to keep you happy for a few days, yet it’s a boutique property. If you like minimalism as we do, you’ll love the modern feel of this place.”

Great for
City base when exploring Oman’s desert and mountains; business; weeked getaway from UAE or other parts of the Middle East; events like a wedding or special birthday celebration.

With whom
Families, your partner, group of friends. The outdoor areas and restaurants are just lovely, day or night, so you can feel comfortable hosting meetings here and making this your base for business.

Memorable moment
On my last visit to this hotel, the front office staff were phenomenal at arranging everything – I had an issue with my phone and cell service (nothing at all to do with the hotel) and yet they went out of the way to make to arrange testing, repair and a new sim card. I was impressed!

Best time to go
October to March.

Be aware
The hotel’s gift shop is extremely well stocked with quality items that make perfect mementos to take home to the kids.
