Hotel Dupond-Smith

“This small, 8 room boutique hotel right in the heart of the Marais (the Parisian equivalent of New York City’s Village) is such a gem. I was traveling for work and a bit skeptical as I’m accustomed to large and grand hotels, but I’m so glad I switched it up for a change. There is plenty of activity in and around the hotel to keep busy, but it was so nice to come home to a quiet room. The rooms are luxurious and larger than average in Paris, and the chic, clean and bright décor easily made me feel right at home. The breakfast each morning was amazing: fresh squeezed orange juice, and assortment of delicious croissants and pastries, and fresh fruit. It was the perfect start to each work day, and for skipping around the city on days off. The hotel is only a half hour walk to the Louvre, ten minute walk to Notre Dame, less than five to the metro, and in the middle of amazing shopping.”

Great for
If you’ve feel like you’ve experienced the majority of typical Parisian hotels, this is a surprisingly fresh change! I hadn’t explored much of the Marais area before, and this was the perfect place to stay and do so.

With whom
I was travelling solo, but there were two or three families also staying in the hotel and mentioned having plenty of room.

Memorable moment
The employees are what made this place so memorable. Kareem helped me with dinner recommendations, transportation, and even printed boarding passes and work documents. The management team knows what they’re doing when it comes to hiring at this hotel!

Best time to go
Is there anything better than Paris in the spring?

Be aware
There isn’t a restaurant or bar at the hotel, only breakfast, but the staff was amazing with recommendations on where to go.

Rooms start at $700 per night, depending on the dates of your stay.
