HUB Porteño

“My husband and I are huge fans of small, boutique-y hotels but they often lack on the service end. HUB Porteño is exactly the opposite. We left our kids back home and were looking to spend a few days in Buenos Aires. The hotel concierge couldn’t have been better. She arranged everything for us during our stay ranging from daytime excursions to dining. Knowing that my husband and I are art collectors, she planned a couple of really interesting tours with a driver as well as art expert Delfina, who arranged meetings with local artists and access to some museum archives.

While we were busy exploring the city, we also enjoyed spending time at the hotel. Understated modern elegance is how I would describe the overall décor. Our room was spacious and bright and I appreciated having a large bath with a Jacuzzi. We also really enjoyed dinner at the hotel’s Tarquino, one of Buenos Aires’ most buzzed-about restaurants. We had such a wonderful stay and wouldn’t have wanted to leave if it wasn’t for our kids back home.”

Great for
Someone preferring small and intimate pied-a-terre-type of hotels than large ones.

With whom
A partner.

Memorable moment
Sipping Malbec on the roof terrace after having enjoyed dinner at cozy hot spot Tarquino. I doubt we would have gotten a reservation if we hadn’t stayed at the hotel.

Best time to go
Buenos Aires’ climate is mild year-round so go whenever you can.

Be aware
With only eleven rooms, HUB Porteno doesn’t have all the amenities, such as a full-service spa, you will find at larger properties. The beautifully furnished spacious rooms and prime location in the heart of Recoleta plus super-helpful concierge service make up for it though.

Starting at US $480 + tax per night.
