La Foresteria at Planeta Estate

“I took my wife here as part of our trip throughout Italy. It was a nice place with not too many guests so we felt more like we were visiting a friend’s house rather than a hotel. The staff were very accommodating and friendly- they helped my wife find the wine she had fallen in love with at dinner. We both loved the cuisine and took the cooking class with Chef Angelo Pumilia where we walked away learning some classic Italian recipes that we would not wait to show off to our friends. ”

Great for
Spending a weekend eating and drinking some of the best Italian food and wines with a small group of people in what feels like your own home in the Italian countryside.

With whom
A wonderful place to spend some time with a partner or foodie friend.

Memorable moment
Dining is such a fun experience- you sit at a large family style table with other guests with views of the kitchen so you can see exactly how everything is made. Even better are the tips from the dish explanations from the chef himself- he even offers tips on how to recreate the dish.

Best time to go
A beautiful area year-round but the high season is July through September but don’t worry about missing out on amazing food and wine because the menu’s and wine tastings are themed with the season so you get the best no matter when you go.

Be aware
If you love the olive oil and wine, which you will, you can buy some and have it shipped to your house.

Prices begin at $250 during the low season and $275 during the high season. Closed during the months of December and January (except for New Year’s eve).
