Loews Regency New York Hotel

“It was neat to stay at this re-born, amped up classic Manhattan hotel - and more than I’d expected! I always liked the vibe of the famous power breakfast here, but thought for the absolutely amazing central location the design aesthetic and luxury offerings were missing. Not anymore.

61st Street and Park Avenue, turn into the lobby and adjoining bar/lounge/restaurant which shimmer and sparkle with an art deco meets crisp classic feel. The people watching is as it was before: great, but now more international, more fun.

While my room was more than comfortable and well appointed, the wow factor here is the massive Julien Farel salon & spa - with a separate men’s barber offering in a private nook for VIPs. This 10,000 sq. foot space is as light, bright and spectacular as this city’s salons come. Full service.

If you like the Four Seasons, just blocks away, you’ll have found another great place to rest your head and take in the city.”

Great for
Perfect for any type of pleasure - or business (the meeting rooms are well laid out and lovely).

With whom
Solo, and certainly with the family makes for easy walks most anywhere, including to Central Park just a couple blocks away.

Memorable moment
Sunny breakfast outside - on the fly - at Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar within the hotel.

Best time to go
The only season I warn people against in NYC is July & August: too hot & sticky.

Be aware
There is a hustle bustle here; nothing boutique about it. (Rooms are quiet).

Room rates start at $475 per night.
