Mill House Inn

“Just at the edge of one of America’s great towns lies this adorable Bed & Breakfast with wow, what breakfasts! (Famous all over the east coast and deservingly so.) A very high service standard, stellar location and clean, neat, easy-on the eyes type of rooms. This B&B is a cut above most others — you’ll come back again and again. Walk into town in 2 minutes, bike to the most stunning beaches in 10 minutes; near to adorable Amagansett and 20 minutes from legendary Montauk.”

Great for
A carless, easy break from NYC — Jitney out to East Hampton with your weekend bag (all the nicer mid-week) and walk 5 minutes to the Inn via town whilst window shopping!

With whom
A solo break to read, run, shop and films; or with a friend; or as a couple. Fun with kids of all ages who are beach goers. (And the suites are dog friendly.)

Memorable moment
Ordering the Lobster Frittata AND the buttermilk blueberry pancakes which we took photos of and emailed to friends at home eating cereal with skim milk.

Best time to go
This area can be so pretty year round — depends what you are looking for. East Hampton stays open the most of all the Hamptons in the off and shoulder seasons.

Be aware
There is no pool, no living room/lounge. Rooms are spacious — book a suite if your budget allows.

From $695 in high season
