Nandana Private Resort

“Accessible, intimate and stunning. Under an hour from South Florida, the five–suite Nandana feels like the private home of a wealthy friend. Constructed out of yacht-quality teak, the resort is serviced by a 24-hour staff, private chef and plenty of “toys” — think deep sea fishing yacht, in-house SCUBA and snorkeling gear, wave runners, etc. — make the splurge worth it.”

Memorable moment
On the second day of our stay, we ventured out on the house yacht, the Lioness, to try our luck with the fishing rods and visit a deserted island. We came back to the house that afternoon with fresh conch, barracuda and crab, which was then turned into a feast by our private chef.

Best time to go
Year-round. For fishermen, January-March marks mahi-mahi seasons (also high season in the Caribbean)
