Thompson Miami Beach

“A brand new addition to the already booming boutique hotel scene... This is a cutie! Easy, central location to base yourself from with both the service and comfort of a larger hotel with a small property feel. Rooms and bathrooms are simple, good-looking with retro flair but it's the indoor / outdoor restaurant and duo pools that make The Thompson a pleasure for vacation or a business meeting. We had 75 of our team for a three day meeting, which I'd recommend to any company who likes this informal, east going setting supported by a great staff.”

Great for
A beach meets city vacation or biz trip. The difference here to many other " boutique" hotels is the caliber of their management and staff. Very professional and care about their guest's experience.

With whom
Solo, with friends, as a couple, for a meeting / offsite (their intimate conference room really suited our team).

Memorable moment
My early morning jog on the long boardwalk bordering the beach. Great air, and I saw Dolphins jumping around pretty close to the shoreline!

Best time to go
Miami weather is typically best from October through April - unless you like hot hot hot...

Be aware
The lobby / indoor restaurant areas are a bit dark (for design effect). If this poses a problem for you - be armed with your iPhone flashlight as I was.

From $175 a night, depending on room size, how many in your group if you book many rooms, and season of visit.
